One Response to “Boys district basketball brackets from around the state”

  1. Rod:

You just had to distract me from the stuff I really need to be doing tonight, didn’t you? Pouring over these high school basketball (and football) brackets is like cocaine for my OCD personality.

If there is one thing that sticks in my side like nothing else, it’s seeing any team — this time Cathedral Prep — drawing a pass into the state tournament in any sport. A combined District IX/X field with just three teams in it with two of them qualifying for states? Ridiculous! This is SO grossly unfair when just about every other team in the state must bust a hump AND have a bit of luck to get there. Why do we virtually never see DuBois entering? Is there a District IX or X rule or school district policy limiting the Beavers’ participation to teams with .500 records only? (I could say more, but I’ll bite my tongue — again!)

I’ll look forward to seeing the remaining boys’ brackets when they become available. Please don’t leave the girls out. I’d love to see those brackets, too.

As always, U da man & I’m your fan!
    Steve
