Every year, I tell you fine high school football fans that the Pennsylvania Football News Resource Guide is a must-have.  The reason I tell you this is because you must have it just for the schedules alone.

There’s a lot more to the PFN Resource Guide than schedules: School information, records, lists, stuff you’d be interested in even if you weren’t a retired high school sports writer.  The only problem with the book is that it makes one’s laptop bag very, very heavy, something that’s important to us old-timers.

Seriously, Rich Vetock and Tom Elling have outdone themselves again with the 2011 version of the PFN Resource Guide.  The price – $27 including shipping and handling – seems salty until you realize just how much stuff is in it.  Then you realize it’s a bargain.

All of the ordering and shipping details are below.  I say: order.  Now.

  1. Mike,

Thanks for sending those links. I did get a chance to read the Lancaster Online story. Nice piece of work by Ed and Matt. Most interesting to see that if athletics were eliminated completely from Lancaster County schools each household would save an average of $29.

It’s great to have Jeff back as an active online reporter again. The man is relentless when it comes to L-L Sports. Plus, Jeff is a great guy. We’ve shared some recent divorce stories, so we’re comrades-in-arms in that category.

With Jeff back online, there will be no shortage of in-depth L-L news. Now I have to get off my butt and link him on my site. I’ve been woefully behind in that regard.
