  1. In 4A 3 out of 36 players from Districts 1 and 12. Seems about right.

  2. Complete lack of participation by the D1 and D 12 writers, starting with the nomination process. Fact is, most of the D1 and Philly players were added into the ballot by yours truly, the Patriot-News guys and one other writer not from Philly area. Not one Philly area writer voted. There you have it.

  3. WOW So none of the 10 or so writers who cover SEPA teams would respond? Rick Obrien puts a ranking out by position with detail on his top 10 players. I guess there is a lot of politics with you newspaper guys. ESPN somehow got some names.

  4. Generally, we have less participation from the southeast corner than anywhere else. Don’t know why. I like all of those guys (and gals) and respect them. But participation is voluntary, and the guys who take the time to make sure their players are nominated are the same ones who will vote. The nomination form and the ballot went out statewide via the Associated Press. Every player who was nominated was on the ballot, and every newspaper had the opportunity to vote.

  5. wheres the kicker for class AA?

  6. What date did nomination emails go out? When were they due back? Seems very odd that D1 / D12 writers just chose not to participate.

  7. No kicker was nominated for Class AA.

  8. Why werent any kickers nominated? Rod who would you have given the honor of kicker and punter to?

  9. I would agree that it is a shame that no D1 or D12 writers participated. I know there are some players in D1 that should be ahead of some of these kids based on the stats. If the selection process was based on more than just how players did this season, which it shouldn’t be, then I can see how some of these players made it. Otherwise, it’s a shame.
