It has nothing to do with being a Class AAA snob (although I pretty much am a AAA snob). It has everything to do with my daughter’s symphony band concert at Central Dauphin.
I love wrestling, but I love my daughter more. The proof is my choice of venue tonight because, well, I generally take a nap during most of the school concerts. But I’m there.
The good news: I will be at Central Dauphin Thursday night for the 3-AAA semifinals between CD vs. Manheim Twp. and Big Spring vs. Mechanicsburg. I just so happens i can combine Dad Duties (practice for CD’s musical) and work at the same venue at the same time. I thank CD for its wise scheduling of its “Grease” rehearsal.
And, of course, I thank the missus for agreeing to pick up the other daughter at field hockey practice about the time the semifinals end. She gets breakfast in bed or some such privilege for being such a good wife and step-mom. Or at least something that does not cost a lot of $$$.
So, I’ll have semifinal update Thursday night and updates of Saturday’s AA and AAA finals from Milton Hershey. Programming note: I’ll link to the District 3 site on Saturday. That’s where I’ll be posting the updates. Sorry, no live chats.
My pal Mark Dugan has released his most recent set of Class AA state rankings.
For a set of Class AAA rankings, take a look at Jeff Upson’s PaPowerrankings on his website. They haven’t been updated in a couple of weeks but give the guy a break: He just got back from a year (two?) of study in London. That’s England, not Ontario. In fact, just saw Jeff and former CD star Thomas Shovlin at the District 3-AAA duals at CD on Tuesday. Had a great chat with both.
This reminds me that I should get out a little more.
