Montgomery vs. Chartiers-Houston

Chartiers-Houston scores 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th to beat Montgomery 4-1. It ends the deepest frustration in PIAA softball history, giving Chartiers-Houston its first title in six trips to teh championship game.

Mount Lebanon vs. Central Bucks South

Well, that was simple. Mount Lebanon pitcher Genna Badolato fires a perfect game to give Mount Lebanon a 1-0 win over Central Bucks South, giving Lebo its first PIAA softball title.

Badolato whiffs 11. CB South pitcher Fran Carrullo gives up just four hits, two to Mount Lebanon’s Tess Aphe, who scores the game’s only run on a solo homer in the first inning.

Game took just 1 hour and 14 minutes


The PIAA has flipped the times for Friday’s Class AAAA and Class A softball championship games at Shippensburg University’s Robb Field.

The Class AAAA championship game between Central Bucks South and Mount Lebanon will be played at 10 a.m. instead of 4 p.m. to accommodate CB South’s graduation Friday night, according to the Washington Observer-Reporter.

The Class A championship game between Chartiers-Houston and Montgomery will be played at 4 p.m. It was originally scheduled for 10 a.m.
